Linking your character (RuneLink)
RuneLink ties your RuneScape character to your Discord account, once, for every clan bot and site that uses it.
What is RuneLink?
A plugin for the RuneScape game client. It links the character you play to your Discord account, so clan bots and websites know it's you without you typing your name anywhere.
RuneLink was called RS Link before.
How do I link my character?
1. Install RuneLink from the plugin list in the game client.
2. Open its window. It shows a short code.
3. On this site, open Link RS Account, sign in with Discord and type the code.
4. Check the character name and confirm. You're linked.
Can I link more than one character?
Yes. Log in to the other character, open RuneLink and enter its new code. Every linked character shows in Account > Plugins.
How do I unlink a character, or delete everything?
Go to Account > Plugins and press Unlink on the character. That opens My links: press Unlink there. The plugin is signed out on every PC that used that link.
At the bottom of My links you can also delete everything RuneClans keeps about your Discord account.
My code doesn't work.
Codes expire after a short while. Open RuneLink again for a fresh one, and type it exactly as shown.
Still stuck? Make sure the plugin has its permissions turned on in the game client's plugin settings, then try again.
Sharing with your clan (RuneSync)
RuneSync shares your XP, drops and achievements with your clan, live, without typing a thing.
What is RuneSync?
The RuneClans clan plugin. It sends what you choose (XP, drops, kills, achievements) to RuneClans, so your clan's bot can post it and your clan's website can show it.
It needs RuneLink: RuneLink tells it who you are.
What does RuneSync collect?
Only the kinds of data you switch on. Nothing is collected until you do, and switching a kind off stops it at once.
Where can I see the XP RuneSync tracked?
In Account > Plugins, under XP tracking. Full stats opens every gain by day, hour or minute.
Privacy
You decide what leaves the game and who sees it.
Who can see my data?
Your clan's RuneClans bot and website, for the kinds of data you switched on. What strangers see on your player profile is your choice in Account > Plugins, under Privacy and sharing.
What are "other apps that can see your data"?
Bots and websites can ask to read your plugin data. They see nothing until you say yes, and only the kinds of data you picked. You can remove one at any time.
Most players never have any, so the list only shows in Account > Plugins once you've allowed one.
Do other bots see my Discord account?
No, unless you allow it. Each app gets its own alias for you instead.
